Australia accepts 14,000 refugees each year. In contrast, in Jordan, there are two million refugees ( the population of Jordan is 6 million). Should Australia accept more refugees?
Close your eyes, imagine Australia full of refugees with beautiful smiles on their faces and a healthy well being. They come by boat and plane just for the freedom and a new chance at a new life.
Walking down the streets of main city's like Melbourne seeing the true Aussies have a cold VB at the cricket and then seeing refugees being quiet and trying to get use to the freedom and the way we live. I find this to be a problem because in some ways more then one we are two whole different type of people with our different religions and beliefs. For an example we might do something that is perfectly fine for an Australian but might be offensive towards other cultured people.
During the documentary the participants lived with a family of refugees that had come by boat or plane, most of them still had family stuck in detention centers. During the experiment the had a video conference with the people in the detention center to their family in Australia. Just seeing the smiles on their face makes me realize everyone deserves a happy life and that no one should be treated the way they do.
Australia should accept more refugees because it gives us a better reputation, it makes us as one! It shows that we are putting others before ourselves. Close your eyes, imagine Australia full of refugees with beautiful smiles on their faces and a healthy well being. They come by boat and plane just for the freedom and a new chance at a new life. Look at our happy they are. :)

Jakki, terrific response, well done. I like the way you appeal to the reader's imagination 'close your eyes and imagine' and use examples from 'Go Back to Where you Came From'. Well thought out response, well done, Ms Lidgerwood
