MY JOURNEY :)

My Journeyyyyyyy.
On October the 8th ( i think) i went to The Alpine School, during my time up there i went on an over night hike with 9 other people. The hike was about 32km. The reason why i'm using this as my journey is because at the time of this hike i had a slightly dislocated knee and a broken finger yet i still wanted to be with my group and push forward! On this trip i had to carry a hiking bag with my tent, food and tangent inside it. My knee was strapped about 6 times...... aha and my finger, well i just had it strapped with a piece of foam and a sock over the top. This Journey was a positive journey because i never gave up, i kept walking i kept pushing myself, i never wanted to let the rest of the group down. The expo made me a better person because it made me feel stronger and it made me feel like i could do anything if i really tried! Today whenever i get put down comments or i feel like i can't do anything i think of that Trip and then i realize to block out the bad comments and think positive!

  1. Jakki, despite being in a difficult situation with your injuries, you were able to learn a lot about yourself. It is a wonderful skill to be able to pick yourself up and keep trying to overcome adversity. You are so fortunate to have had to opportunity to go to the Alpine school. How were you selected to go? Had you ever been to that area before? I'd love to hear more about the activities that you were involved in and the people that you met. Thanks for sharing on your blog, Ms Lidgerwood
